(3) In both Win95 and 98, when the desktop is set to 24bit color, purple and/or green glitches/corruptions appear on the screen (in my case, closing Display Properties after setting desktop to true color, reopening it and going to the Effects tab I can see purple and green corrupted desktop icons, ...

-As with the CD-ROMs, creating the database with the correct strings would need a real working one of each model (or at least one of each series). This is the real hard part. Why is needed a real unit? To extract the BIOS or firmware? I have tons of optical drives. Or just copy the string by hand?

I'm running the game in a 486/66 under DOS 6.22 and the mouse is perfect.
If the problem is because is running under Windows, I bet it is real behavior

Try to remove them and see if they don't appear again
1) Try to disable the parallel port in the BIOS (I'm not sure if that is emulated or not)
2) You can try and disable Advanced Power Management in BIOS too

Well, I tested it...
During installation sound blaster 16 auto detection works fine, I can hear the digitized sound, however, it crashes when the program tests CD Audio tracks
It has been reported that CD audio tracks don't work

Cyrix, if you need a dev kit it means you are a programmer! PCem is open source and anyone can contribute. If you have some knowledge everyone would appreciate your help with any small piece of code you could contribute
