Re: [Patch] Undocumented instructions and processor accuracy

The latest commit (in x86seg.c where it says "x86ss("Load CS call not present", seg & 0xfffc);" ) breaks win3.0 in protected mode. It should be set to x86np.

Ok, then what if someone releases nightly builds of PCem outside this site? Well, those outside the site should at least try the latest commit.

Re: [Solved] PCem v12 and Sound Lag

Side note: I'd like to know about why most of my bug reports/general reports get ignored. Just to say it in the kindest way. (like the recent the trio64 bug on OS/2, though one driver set doesn't have that issue in 1024x768 in 8bpp/16bpp). Aside from this, I have a patch to solve the GUI freeze in O...

Re: S3 Trio64 bugs in OS/2 2.1 and 3.0

Update: after a long log research, these glitches happen, in the bitblt command (command 6 in accel_start),if foreground mix is 1, background mix is 0, vram mask is enabled (0xC0) all together. Windows doesn't use these values and that's why the glitches don't happen, because it disables the vram ma...

What drivers are you using? What machine? I don't encounter this issue, even with built-in drivers.

S3 Trio64 bugs in OS/2 2.1 and 3.0

Okay, the trio64 drivers I have for OS/2 2.1x and 3.0 (and those work nicely on VPC2007, no issues) show a lot of graphical issues on PCem, such as. 1. 32-bit bpp is messed up with a redish color. 2. Garbled fonts when moving the windows around or clicking programs. (The built-in 864 drivers in Warp...

Re: Feature request: revamping config files

IMO I also don't think a configurator program would be useful. That's overblowing featurecreep and going against KISS principles that make PCem already elegant as it is. Virtualizers that have them need them because they're designed for enterprise users in mind, which is more for a 'everything must...

Just tested with DOSBox-x, also happens there, with the built-in s3mm.drv as well as the ID (CRTC 0x30) set to 0xe1.

Re: [Bug] DOS Prompt on Windows 95 OSR 2 and S3 Trio64...

Still happening, ffs. And yes, this is definitely a bug, since it doesn't happen in VPC2007 or on DOSBox and they ought to emulate it normally (this is on s3mm.drv, not s3_2.drv or s3.drv).

Paintbrush glitches in S3 Virge 325 and 375

Well, this only happens in 800x600 and higher modes, not in 640x480.

To me, it looks like another blitter issue.

Much like the 2011 (kinda), you need an already bootable DOS HDD to configure the machine's internals like floppy boot, etc.

There's no need for large text, just grab msys1 with gcc 4.x or 5.x (the latter is better), alut and openal32.

1024x768x15/16bpp not rendered correctly in GD5429

I recently added the RAMDAC with the correct values as well as the vclk of it, 15bpp and 16bpp work in 640x480 and 800x600 modes, but 1024x768 mode seems to not render correctly (8bpp mode is unaffected of the same resolution). If anyone wants the revamped code, I can post it here. Test program is X...

160KB and 320KB are handlled in PCem v11, it's probably the PCjr itself that can't handle the formats, but I don't know.

Re: Mouse disappears in NT 3.50 (not 3.51) with the S3 Trio6

Actually, the S3 Trio64 was introduced the same time as NT 3.5 and as the Mach64, and the Vision864 doesn't allow 1024x768x32bpp.

Mouse disappears in NT 3.50 (not 3.51) with the S3 Trio64

Well, with the built-in drivers, the mouse disappears with every memory configuration and with every color mode, happens in all machines supported.
