PCem and Intel vs AMD processors

I am looking into replacing my laptop and was wondering if there was a difference in performance between Intel and AMD chips with PCem. I am partial to AMD but will consider Intel if they are faster, more reliable or perform better with PCem. What are your thoughts?

PCem benefits from CPU that perform better in single thread, so I believe Intel takes the lead here
