RAM Size Config Issue

Post by tk421 »

There is a strange RAM config issue in v16. It does not pop up in every instance but typically when I try to set the RAM with my keyboard for a Pentium MMX system in v16, if I type in 64mb of RAM PCem will immediately read 48mb of RAM. I then have to use my mouse to set the RAM at the desired size.

Using my keyboard to immediately set the RAM was always the fast method prior to v16.

If I set the RAM to 32mb with my keyboard v16 will read 28mb of RAM, and 16mb of RAM will read as 68mb of RAM.

This RAM config issue does not show up in previous versions of PCem. I admit I tested v16 through an XP VM in VMware, but this is an issue limited to v16 of PCem.

I do not know if this issue is easy to fix, but it is the only bug I ever saw with v16. I hope it can be fixed.

Otherwise v16 works fine.

Setting 128mb of RAM with the keyboard does not produce an error. The RAM limit works, so the max RAM is indeed 128mb.
