Well, this only happens in 800x600 and higher modes, not in 640x480.

It looks like that something appears to be amiss with the S3 Virge 325/375 drivers. See if you can try to note SarahWalker of this issue.

If you have access to the original hardware, try reproducing the issue with the exact same drivers as on PCem.
You could also try later and earlier S3 Virge drivers in PCem.

I don't have the original hardware, sorry.
Update: the drivers that are specific to the Diamond Stealth 3D 2000 or 2000 Pro don't have this issue, weird.

Unfortunately, A. Naim is right. Until someone verifies this on real hardware, we have no way of knowing whether this is an emulator bug or a driver bug.
