Audio CD Problem on a Packard Bell-Installed VM

Post by DevanDrake99 »

I've installed Windows 95 from a Packard Bell Master CD image (which includes Packard Bell programs and drivers). I've checked out Tuneland, and I first noticed there's no sound. I realized the reason is because it's an audio CD-based game. The only sounds coming from Tuneland are the integrated ones from the C drive. Next, I ran a real physical audio CD into the host drive and nothing is coming out. I was using Audiostation (pre-installed with a Packard Bell machine). I used the Windows 95 CD player, and it came up with no disc inserted. Please insert an audio compact disc. It turns out to be a CD driver problem. Not the sound card problem. I ended up fiddling around the drivers with sound cards and CD drivers, and editing autoexec.bat and config.sys to solve the problem, and still the problem persists.

Any help appreciated.
