I'm trying to use the Epox P55 motherboard to test something and ran into this issue where it can't find the drivers the Soundblaster 128 needs on the WIndows 98 SE ISO. This particular failure only happens when I try to build a system with this particular motherboard.
The ASUS boards also get stuck in a "press a key to reboot" loop when you try to enable large disc support but that's another issue entirely

Win98SE doesn't come with any AudioPCI 128/ES1371/ES1373 drivers (win98se drivers are generally current to Dec 1997+DirectX 6.1). They started adding those in Windows 2000 and Me.
Also remember, if something's asking for the Win98 cd, you'll want to correct the path to read D:\WIN98 rather than the root.

Then how come the disc works fine when the installer asks for it on other motherboards?
