Gigabyte GA-686BX don't recognize SB AWE32

Hi there.

I've installed Win98 SE and all work fine, less the sound card.
Then I chosed a SB AWE32 but this don't are listed on the hardware managment list.
Anyway, I installed the sound blaster AWE32 drivers but nothing happens

Voodoo 3 3000 works great
CD ROM too

I've tryed changing the sound card to SB16, but the hardware managment still don't show any sound card.
Any ideas what happening?

Have you tried adding the card by selecting Add New Hardware Wizard in Control Panel?
I've just tried this. I'm running Windows 95 on Gigabyte board and was able to get the card working without issues.

thanks very much! I did not remember that ISA cards needs to be added manually in the S.O.

Yeah, this AWE32 isn't plug 'n play. You'll always have to add new hardware manually or let it do the exhaustive search, and then you can install the AWE32/64 software.

Make sure to set the BIOS to "PnP OS Installed" - I installed Windows 98 on an ASUS mobo and ticked that box and the card was detected by default, I didn't need to install any drivers at all.
