MS-DOS 6.22 and SCSI - can't rad ISOs

Post by SkaFan »

Hi Folks,

I have setup a MS-DOS 6.22 system.

Socket 7 ASUS P/I P55TVP4
32MB RAM
Pentium MMX 233
Phoenix S3 Trio64
Sound Blaster 16
Adaptec AHA-1542C SCSI Controller
SCSI ID0 2GB HDD
SCSI ID1 2GB HDD
SCSI ID2 2GB HDD
SCSI ID3 CD-Rom
SCSI ID7 Controller

System boots up, drives c,d and e are there. Could format them and put DOS on c:

Loading drivers work.
config.sys
device=c:\dos\aspi4dos.sys
device=c:\dos\aspicd.sys /d:cdrom01

autoexec.bat
mscdex /d:cdrom01

The CD drive is found, show up as drive f:

But when I load and ISO image I can not access it.

Not ready whiel reading... bla bla...
The ISO is OK. I can read it on and IDE System also with UltraISO it's Ok.
Then sometimes I can read an Image but cant change it. So I can load an ISO, show it's content with "dir f:", then unload the ISO image but with "dir f:" it still shows the same content. Also changing to a new ISO dosent show the new content.

What is wrong here?
