PCEm on Steamdeck

I've been trying to install PCem on my steam deck,
since no flatpak exists, I've been trying to install the manual way but the install script is bothering me about having no writepermissions and missing depencies despite me using sudo.
I think it has something to do with with the locked down filesystem on the steam deck, which why everyone recommends to download flatpaks or appimages.
But is there any way to use pcem without having to modify the system?
